Introduction

The teacher makes sure everyone is familiarized with the first part of the story. He/She may ask if students have any knowlege of any strange behaviour that other birds around the globe may have.

Process

Process-Activities:

1. Teacher makes an oral summary of the first part of the story together with the students.

2. Students read their homework which was to search for information and write a short fragment about seagulls. Then, using Quiver app they illustrate the birds.

3. Students read the second fragment from the story from: “Nat waited…..We`ve got enough for two or three days more.”

4. Students have to find in the text words or expressions that mean the same as: location of the story, far away, for a short time, cover the windows with wood.

5. Students correct some sentences about the fragment.

6. Students listen to the last fragment of the story.

7. Teacher does a Kahoot test with students on the story.

8. Group work: Students work on specific tasks related to the fragment they have just read, in groups, for 20-25 minutes. Then, representatives from each group present the outcomes to the other classmates.

Group A: Students imagine an illustrated message of the seagulls to humans and their reasons for attacking using Pic collage app.

Group B: Using Pixton Comic Maker app, students have to imagine a dialogue between the birds before the attack.

Group C: Students create a poster with strange birds around the globe and some information about them using auras from HP Reveal app. They could combine pictures with sound and film.

Group D: Using Story Jumper app students imagine a different ending of the story.
